a probabilistic functional gene network for 41,203 non-TE related genes of Oryza sativa (by TIGR release 5), constructed using a modified Bayesian integration of many different data types from several different organisms, with each data type weighted according to how well it links genes that are known to function together in Oryza sativa. Each interaction in RiceNet has an associated log-likelihood score (LLS) that measures the probability of an interaction representing a true functional linkage between two genes.

A network of 16 rice genes experimentally validated to play a role in XA21-mediated immunity (XA21 and its 15 interactors, red nodes) and their ~620 nearest RiceNet neighbors (green nodes). A total of ~640 rice genes interconnected by ~5,000 most confident RiceNet links are shown here. If you would like to fly into the rice cell and watch XA21 in action, click HERE to download and start the movie.

please go to the RiceNet search page and enter a gene, or list of genes, in the box provided, using a TIGR Rice locus ID (e.g., LOC_Os01g01010). The search will return all of the genes that are directly connected to an input gene (or set of genes), ranked according to their log-likelihood scores. The evidence for each interaction is indicated using the codes listed at the bottom of this page.
